Fatal accident in Umuahia, driver dies on the spot (Photos)

This accident happened around 9:45pm yesterday night in Umuahia Abia state, along Bank road close to Fidelity bank and Forte Oil.
 The driver died on the spot.

According to Abia Breaking News, he was over-speeding and ran into road demarcation called ramp. * Speed kills.. May his soul rest in peace! More photos below.

Small Doctor is an ingrate, Learn from my mistake – DJ Real writes open letter

 Rising street pop artise Small Doctor has been slammed and shown the exit door by his music label CEO, DJ Real who feels betrayed after turning the singer from an okada rider to a star only to get disrespected.
 According to an open letter DJ Real shared on his IG page, problem started when small Doctor began experiencing main stream acceptance and recognition and started ignoring his management “Real Beat Planet” who nurtured his career.
Small Doctor reportedly started performing shows without informing DJ Real or getting aproval from
the “Real Beat Planet” management and all efforts to correct  this abnormally fell on deaf ears.
DJ Real now regrets investing so much in Small Doctor without a contract and wants every street DJ to learn from his mistake.
His open letter reads:

I’m Writing This Open Letter To All Street DJs And My Fans To Learn From My Mistake.. Been Keeping Silence For The Past Few Months Now Base On What Happen Between Me And Small Doctor Who Think He’s Bigger Than The Person Who Standby Him, Believe In His Talent And Do All His Possible Best To Help Him Get To Where He Is Today With GOD Blessing. 

1. I Got To Know Him Thru A Friend And Artist Called O’black Some Years Back As His Bike Boy Who Do Drop Him Off At Shows.. O’black Introduced Him To Me, That He Can Be Of Help To Me Anytime I Want To Visit Alaba Market To Drop Jobs Done For The Marketers.. That’s How He Became My Personal Bike Boy Which I Do Pay Him, Not Until A Day One Of His Agege Brother Called “Mayor” Brought Him To Me That He Want Me To Help His Career And I Told Mayor That Small Doctor Never Told Me That He Sing But With Love I Accept Him As A Brother WithOut collecting A Dime Nor Ask Him To Sign Any Agreement With My OutFit #RealBeatPlanet. So Why I Took Over His Job Personal With Love Was When I Heard That One Of His Written Down Song #Gbagaun Was Stolen By O’black And Featured Konga.. That Was When I Personally Took Him To Dresan To Record The Song Which Is His Very First Single And I Gave Him Massive Promotion.. I Also Remembered Vividly That I Took Him To Some Street Djs Back Then But They All Turn Him Down That They Can’t Promote A Tout Song And I shouldered All His Promotion And Responsibilities.

Purpose For This Letter Is Because Of Different Calls And False Accusation By Some DJs Which He Now See As Saviour Ever Since I Dropped Him Of My Label, That I Was The One Blocking Their Way From Small Doctor For Not Giving Them Money For Promotion They Are Doing For Him. They Never Knew What I Was Going Thru Within Myself, Cos The So Called Artist Is A self-centered And Stingy That He Find It Hard To Settle Me On Any Shows He Get, Which I Never Ask Him Again After Series Of Meeting And No Result.

Now That He Sees None Of His Song On My Track List Anymore.. He Now Find His Way To Go Spend Lot Of Money To Persuade Those Djs He Never For Once Have Respect For Nor Want To Sort Them.. Which I Was Doing For Him Free Of Charge Before..

Lesson Learnt So My Advice To All Street Djs Is Don’t Help Any Artiste All In The Name Of Pity Or He Gat Talent, Without Signing A Deal Or Contract. Learn From My Mistake.

 He has been identified as  Gbenga Hassan a.k.a Obonky, and just when the rest of us are still suffering the effects of the country’s current recession, Obonky shared photos of himself in an undisclosed nightclub with receipts showing how much he spent on drinks/clubbing.
His caption read:

“I am not your boyfriend’s mate. You dig? #Blessed” “Wire Lord”.

It is alleged that Gbenga poses as a ‘businessman’ online who deals in “wires” ( a code-name for alleged internet scam).

Meet the man who says he brought Genevieve Nnaji into Nollywood (photo)

 Meet the man who says he brought Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji into the spotlight.
His name is Emeka Ojukwu Torino, self-acclaimed first Nollywood producer to venture into mobile marketing.
Emeka came out recently to solicit funds for his ailing colleague Prince Uche and in a new interview with Dupe Ayinla Olasunkanmi of TheNation revealed that Prince Uche’s wife had left him.. Read excerpts below.

• You no longer act; how have you been surviving?

I have been producing since 1996. I work basically with some of the top producers and marketers in the industry. I also work with Africa Magic; they bring movies for me to produce. I am also into marketing. I am the first Nollywood actor that went into mobile marketing.
That part started some years back; having people come in contact to get their movies one on one from the producer at a subsidised rate. This happened about two to three years ago, I was the initiator of that idea; selling movies on the street.
In one week, I can boldly tell you that I sell up to 10, 000 movies. So I am still in the game, and that I can say is my first love.

Do you believe that age is one of the factors in ending one’s passion?

I don’t think age is a factor. As an actor, I can fit into any role even at an older age. But it is just that most of these our productions are done in the east, which is not so good with the age. But professionally, age should not be a hindrance to getting roles. Also, the producers do not know us as pioneers, making them offer us fees that are not worth our skills.

• What do you mean by fee not worth the skills you offer?

These people do not look at what we have done for the industry and also the people we have brought in and trained that have taken the name of the industry far beyond our country. They offer fee like N30, 000.
As I am speaking to you now, I am the man behind Genevieve Nnaji. I brought her into the industry, when we were doing the movie Most Wanted. Then we had the likes of these Yoruba actors like Funsho Adeolu, Femi Brainard, Tunde Coker and the rest. Also, Prince James Uche got the role for the movie Mega Fortunes; that role was meant for Jide Kosoko, but he was busy.

• Is forming a team to save Prince James a way of gaining prominence back to the mainstream?

This sickness that is just known to the world started since 2008. But because we have been very close and been with each other for a long time; with the help of some of my colleagues, we have been managing the sickness.
So having a team is just to help raise what is needed to save Prince’s life. What we plan is to help bring back his family after the surgery is done, and he is fit to come back home.

• What do you mean bring his family together?

The plan is to first raise the fund needed for the surgery. Then get him a two-bedroom apartment and bring back his wife who is no longer with him.

• Are you saying she left because of his sickness?

No, see, I am the right person to tell you the truth. They have been having issues before the sickness started. It has to do with his work. You know, a man leaving home for weeks and months. That was the issue.

Pastor flees naked after parishioner caught him in bed with wife. See his apology

  Rev. O. Jermaine Simmons Sr., pastor of the popular Jacob Chapel Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Florida, was forced to run for his life, naked, when one of his parishioners caught him in bed with his wife on Tuesday last week.

 According to the Christian Post, the Tallahassee police reports Benjamin Stephens III found his wife, Claynisha Stephens, 34, in bed with 37-year-old Pastor Simmons.
The pastor is married with one child, according to his church’s website. Both Claynisha and Benjamin are his parishioners.
Claynisha, who has been married for seven years, told police that she first met Simmons in 2014, but
“they have been establishing a relationship” as of October 2016.
Last Tuesday, she said, Simmons came over to the home she shares with her husband and their children so they could “talk over starting a business, patents and trademarks, and providing less fortunate kids with clothes and shoes.”
During the meeting, she said they started having sex.
While they were engaged, her 6-year-old son’s school was trying to get in touch with her to pick him up. Since she did not answer, the school reached out to the boy’s father.
Benjamin picked up their son and headed home only to discover his wife engaged with Simmons in their oldest daughter’s bedroom.
After seeing the pair having sex inside the room of his daughter, a furious Benjamin grabbed his handgun and reportedly screamed, “I’m gonna kill him,” referring to the pastor.
On hearing the threat, the frightened pastor fled the couple’s home naked without waiting to see what would happen. The enraged husband attempted to chase after the pastor but his wife stepped in front of him and begged him not to kill her lover in front of their son who witnessed the whole thing.
Claynisha told police that her husband decided against shooting her because her son was present. She explained that she tried to gather the pastor’s clothes to return them to him but her husband took the clothes and said he would drop them off at the church.
Claynisha said her husband stated that he “should have shot Simmons and expose him.” He also threatened to expose him on Facebook and show up at church on Sunday to “make a statement.”
She said she pleaded with her husband not to make a statement to the church because it would make their pastor “look bad.” Her husband allegedly told her to “shut up” while still waving the handgun around but not directly at her.
The frightened pastor eventually had one of his other parishioners pick him up from where he was hiding and indicated that along with all his clothes, Claynisha’s husband had taken his car keys, wallet, business keys and other personal effects.
Police were eventually able to arrange for the return of the pastor’s belongings.
The pastor, according to the police report, declined to press charges against Claynisha’s husband, but Claynisha has indicated in a sworn statement that she will be pressing charges against her husband. It was unclear on Monday afternoon if she had acted on that statement.

The Christian Post reached out to Jacob Chapel on Monday and was told that Simmons remained the pastor of the church. When asked if any action had been taken against him regarding the incident, an official who did not identify herself declined to comment.
A former parishioner, who wished to remain anonymous, told CP that Simmons and his church had done a lot of good in the community prior to the incident.

“Before this incident and that pastor — that church has done a lot of good throughout that community. [The church] helped people with bills, helped people find jobs, helped people get off drugs. There has been a lot of positive things done in this church,” he said.

According to the church’s website, Simmons is the ninth pastor of the more than 80-year-old Jacob Chapel and he is also a fourth generation pastor and former public school teacher.
Since his arrival at the church in 2005, more than “4,000 souls have been added to the Body of Christ and the local church.”

“Under Pastor Simmons’ leadership, Jacob Chapel has literally fed the hungry, clothed the naked, ministered to those in prisons, and built houses for those without shelter. It is the message of the Cross, the death, the burial, and the resurrection of Christ from the grave which continues to fuel the fire that burns within this passionate preacher and teacher,” the church said.

In his new book I Need a Man published in 2016, Simmons offers a fresh, down-to-Earth perspective on the issues of godly manhood, mentoring, and identity.

“You cannot know who you are, nor can you discover what you were called to do in this world outside of the context of your Creator — attempting to define mankind outside of a biblical context is like trying to understand an iPhone without Steve Jobs’ input,” he said

Dana Air Launches Low Fares for Valentine…Introduces additional flights to Port Harcourt.

According to Dana Air’s Communications Manager, Kingsley Ezenwa,
