A Tale Of The Terrifying Armed Robbery of Kim Kardashian in Paris(Photos/Video)

When Kanye West abruptly ended his headlining set at Meadows Festival in New York Sunday night citing a "family emergency," fans immediately expressed their concern for the wellbeing of West's wife, Kim Kardashian, and their two children. Shortly after West left the Meadows Festival grounds, news broke that Kardashian had been the victim of an armed robbery at her hotel room in Paris. Though West and Kardashian have remained understandably silent regarding the incident, local authorities have now released details of the harrowing robbery at the hands of five unidentified men in "ski masks and police jackets."

A representative for Kim Kardashian told E! News Monday morning that she was "held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room [Sunday] evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers." TMZ reported Monday morning that Kardashian bodyguard Pascal Duvier, pictured above, "may have been protecting two other Kardashians" at the time of the robbery.

The French Interior Ministry said five men are believed to have threatened the hotel concierge with a weapon before handcuffing him and forcing him to let two of them inside Kardashian's quarters. Upon making their way into the room, the men "gagged and bound" Kardashian at her hands and feet before holding her at gunpoint. "She begged for them to let her live and [said] she has babies at home," a source told E! News. "Then they wrapped her mouth in tape and put her in the bathtub. She thought they were for sure going to kill her."

The five men ultimately made off with one of Kardashian's rings, worth an estimated $4.49 million, in addition to a box of jewelry worth approximately $5.6 million. According to People, the robbers also confiscated two cellphones. The men are believed to be still at large after escaping the hotel on bikes, NBC News New York reported. Kardashian left Paris via private jet immediately after speaking with local authorities. Kardashian and West's children, North and Saint, were not involved in the incident. Kendall Jenner, who was in Paris with Kardashian at the time of the robbery, also left Paris on a separate plane early Monday.
