‘Apprentice’ producer Mark Burnett blasts Donald Trump — ‘I reject the hatred, division and misogyny that has been a very unfortunate part of his campaign

Amid calls to release “Apprentice” footage of Donald Trump, producer Mark Burnett isn’t mincing words about the Republican presidential candidate.

“Given all of the false media reports, I feel compelled to clarify a few points. I am not now and have never been a supporter of Donald Trump’s candidacy,” Burnett said in a statement. “I am NOT ‘Pro-Trump.’

Further, my wife and I reject the hatred, division and misogyny that has been a very unfortunate part of his campaign.”

The clamor for old reality show footage comes in the days after leaked video of Trump talking to then-“Access Hollywood” anchor Billy Bush about his seduction techniques.

Old “Howard Stern” clips also revealed the real estate mogul talking about daughter Ivanka Trump, giving the talk show host permission to refer to her as a “piece of a-s.”

Trump, who hosted “Apprentice” and “Celebrity Apprentice” for 14 cycles from 2004 to 2015, has been accused of being a hypocrite by former contestant Maria Kanellis-Bennett.

Kanellis-Bennett, a professional wrestler, says she was reprimanded on the show in 2010 for using the word “crap.”

"What I said is something that happens in the locker room, what he said is not,” the 34-year-old told the Daily News. “He fired me for what I said because I am a female.”

Producer Chris Nee, who never worked on “The Apprentice,” said she had heard that clips of Trump saying the N-word existed, but didn’t have access to the footage.

Bill Pruitt, who worked as a producer on the first to “Apprentice” seasons, claimed that Trump had been caught on camera saying “far worse” than what was heard in the tapes with Billy Bush.
MGM, who owns “The Apprentice,” said they’re responsible for old footage.

“MGM has agreements with artists across a wide spectrum of creative properties, including ‘The Apprentice,’” attorney Marvin S. Putnam said in a statement.

“These agreements typically contain provisions related to confidentiality and artist’s rights. MGM has every intention of complying with its agreements with artists and honoring their rights, including with respect to ‘The Apprentice.’”

Burnett had previously used the same legal rationale to explain that he wouldn’t be releasing the clips.
