FASHION ICON, KARL LAGERFELD, CHECKS KIM K FOR FLASHING JEWELRY ON SOCIAL MEDIA AMID TRAGIC ROBBERY

Sunday night, we all received reports that Kim Kardashian had been robbed for over $10 million worth of jewelry while she was in her Paris apartment. In the days prior to the robbery, she Instagrammed her $4.5 million wedding ring and a grill which could have certainly attracted the robbers.

The whole situation has been very unfortunate, however fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld, seems to show little sympathy for Kim K. and questions why she was alone in the first place.

“I don’t understand why she was in a hotel with no security,” he told Reuters. “If you are that famous and you put all your jewelry on [social media], you go to hotels where nobody can come near to the room.”
He added, “You cannot display your wealth and then be surprised that some people want to share it with you.”

Now, while his comments may seem a bit harsh, Kim and Kanye are very close to Lagerfeld, so he’s more than likely saying this as if he were a concerned parent. I mean, let Kim’s story be a warning to all of us–celebrities and fans. It’s just not smart to show off everything you have on social media. You never know who is watching you and hating!
Also, the fact that people are speculating that the robbery was an inside job just further justifies that.
