Another woman has accused Republican presidential nominee Donald
Trump of unwanted sexual advances. Ninni Laaksonen, the former Miss
Finland, reportedly claimed Trump grabbed her before a joint appearance
on “The Late Show with David Letterman” in 2006, according to Haaretz.
Trump “grabbed my butt,” Laaksonen claimed while speaking to the tabloid Ilta-Sanomat.
"Before the show we were photographed outside the building,"
Laaksonen said. "Trump stood next to me and suddenly he squeezed my
butt. He really grabbed my butt. I don't think anybody saw it but I
flinched and thought, 'What is happening?'"
For the last two months, Trump has been accused of unwanted sexual
advances or outright sexual assault by at least 11 other women, making
Laaksonen the 12th to come forward. Porn star Jessica Drake made such a claim last week.
The accusations, coupled with leaked audio of Trump and then-Access
Hollywood host Billy Bush, have significantly hurt Trump’s numbers in
the polls and many have him trailing Democrat Hillary Clinton by a
double-digit margin. With Bush, Trump claimed he could grab woman by her
genitals because of his celebrity.
With the accusations spanning a wide 30-year swath of time, Trump
has routinely denied either knowing or meeting any of the accusers and
has defamed several via his Twitter account. He also alluded that one of
the accusers wasn’t attractive enough for him to have made any such
advances.
Neither Trump nor his campaign has commented on Laaksonen’s claim.
Trump has also threatened to sue each of the women after the
election, a sentiment his wife, Melania, agreed with in an interview
with ABC’s Good Morning America aired Thursday. Trump was married to Melania at the time of some of the alleged assaults.
“To accuse somebody without evidence, it's very hurtful and it's
very damaging and unfair,” Melania Trump said before confirming her
belief that her husband should go forward with lawsuits against his
accuse
