Watch Paul McCartney Bring Out Rihanna to Perform "FourFiveSeconds" at Desert Trip

This weekend, the organizers behind Coachella are hosting the second iteration of their once-in-a-lifetime concert event Desert Trip. The lineup is a who's who of the most influential and beloved classic rock acts of all time, including recent Nobel Prize winner Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, former Pink Floyd leader Roger Waters, The Who, Neil Young, and Sir Paul McCartney.
Given that the average of all the performers is around 72, less charitable observers have taken to referring to Desert Trip as "Oldchella." Perhaps looking to imbue his own set with a shot of youthful energy, McCartney brought out Rihanna to duet with him on their song "FourFiveSeconds."Alluding to that fact, he quipped "we finally found someone under the age of 50" as Rihanna exited the stage following the performance.
Co-written and produced with Kanye West, "FourFiveSeconds" has been a fixture in both McCartney and Rihanna's regular setlists along their most recent tours. West himself has also been throwing the song into his shows during the ongoing Saint Pablo Tour, allowing the audience to take over most of the vocals work for him. McCartney and Rihanna's "FourFiveSeconds" duet last night was the first time the pair had performed the track together since the 2015 Grammy Awards ceremony. In order to help out some in the crowd who may have been unfamiliar with the song, McCartney had all the words projected back onto the massive football field sized screen behind him so that they could sing along with them.
You can watch the pair run through "FourFiveSeconds" in the video above and the original music video below.
