Stowaway found dead in Arik Air plane that departed Lagos for Johannesburg

South African Airport officials today found the lifeless body of a stowaway in the main wheel of one of Arik Air’s A330-200 aircraft that departed Nigeria and landed at the Oliver Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, South Africa.
A statement from Arik air signed by its communications manager, Ola Adebanji, states that the stowaway hid in the wheel of the aircraft that departed the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at 3:55pm on Tuesday and arrived in Johannesburg at 11pm.
The remains of the deceased was found by engineers of South African Airways Technical facility at the Oliver Tambo International Airport who were carrying out routine maintenance check on the aircraft after it landed at the airport.
The identity of the deceased is yet unknown.
