Mark Zuckerberg has shared a home video of the moment he found out he got into Harvard University.
The founder of Facebook, 33, was just a teenager in the clip filmed by his dad Edward.
Sitting at a computer scream he gave a muted reaction after learning he got into the prestigious university. “Yay, I got accepted,” he said.
In fact, Zuckerberg went on to drop out of Harvard – but not before developing the idea for Facebook while he was there.
According to his roommate Arie Hasit:
“We had books called Face Books, which included the names and pictures of everyone who lived in the student dorms.
“At first, he built a site and placed two pictures, or pictures of two males and two females. ”
“Visitors to the site had to choose who was ‘hotter’ and according to the votes there would be a ranking.”
Facebook is now has more than 1 billion active users.
Zuckerberg is worth an estimated $58.6 billion and is said to be the fifth richest person in the world.
