The Senate panel set up to investigate the allegations and counter allegations between Senator Misau and the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris has been suspended sine die.
IGP Idris said he can’t answer their questions for obvious reasons.
The police boss and his lawyer pointed out that while the panel would break some provisions of the Senate Standing Rules by going ahead with the probe, it would be sub judice for Idris to answer any questions from the lawmakers because the case has already commenced in a competent court.
The IG’s lawyer, Alex Iziyon (SAN), also submitted court papers to the panel, making its members to call for adjournment of the hearing to study the documents.
