Four members of a vigilance group have lost their lives in an attack by gunmen on Godogodo town of Kaduna State.
The Acting Director, Army Public
Relations, Col. Sani Usman, said in a statement on Sunday that the
troops of the 1 Division, the police and a local vigilance group engaged
the gunmen and repelled the attack.
He said the combined team of security
operatives inflicted a heavy casualty on the gunmen and arrested six
suspected members of the group.
Usman said, “those arrested are Lawal Gambo, Yau Sani, Bala Amodu, Ibrahim Maikaru, Abubakar Hassan and Bashiru Isa Ciroma.”
He stated further that nine members of
the vigilance group were injured in the operation designed to prevent
loss of lives in Godogodo.
