Another Nigerian has been arrested by the Maltese police and customs officers after he was found to be carrying heroin and cocaine in his luggage.
According to The Times of Malta, the Nigerian was accosted by officials after he arrived at the Malta International Airport on a flight from Brussels, Belgium, after midnight on Wednesday.
When customs officials scanned his luggage, they discovered three packages carefully concealed.
The packages contained cocaine and heroin. They were said to have been hidden in a black file at the very bottom of the guy’s suitcase.
Reports said two of the packages contained a brown powder which narcotics tests confirmed was heroin, while a white powder inside a third package tested positive for cocaine.
The Nigerian [names withheld] is now in police custody and is expected to be arraigned in court.
