The Superior-General of the convent, Sister Agatha Osarekhoe, confirmed the development to our correspondent on Sunday.
Osarekhoe said that the sisters returned unhurt and were received by the colleagues.
It would be recalled that and three other femaleswere kidnapped by gunmen on November 14
The victims were said to have been taken away in a speedboat.
The sisters were identified as Aloysius Ajayi, Frances Udi and Roselyn Isiocha, while the other three females, identified only as Vivian, Mariam and Anna, were aspiring to join the convent before the incident occurred.
The sisters of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Convent regained their freedom after spending 53 days in the kidnappers’ den.
A source disclose that the kidnappers earlier demanded N50m but later reduced it to N20m, but it is not clear if ransom was paid.
