Shehu Sani Reacts To Buhari’s Call For Reversal Of Oyegun’s Tenure Extension

The senator representing Kaduna central, Shehu Sani has reacted following calls by President Muhammadu Buhari that the extension of John Odigie-Oyegun’s tenure as party chairman is unconstitutional.

Reacting to the matter, Senator Sani wrote: 

“The rejection of tenure elongation by President Muhammadu Buhari is commendable. The elongation was nothing but an illegality hatched by a gang trying to push the party to the path of dishonor and ignominy. The President has exorcised the demon of illegitimacy in the womb of the Party.

PMB has saved the broom from the raging flame about to consume it. HIDING BEHIND BUHARI TO ENTRENCH ILLEGALITY MUST BE RESISTED AT ALL TIMES.

The President has saved the Party and its members from an Ill fated flight by recalling the “Extension plane” from the control tower. All passengers, the cabin crew and the captain must hurriedly disembark.”

Buhari who called the extension unconstitional during the National Council Meeting of the party asked for it to be reversed. However, the All Progressives Congress National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abudullahi yesterday said nothing can be done to reverse it.
