Young Dro Released After Being Arrested On Georgia Southern Campus For Gun And Drugs That Wasn’t His

Yesterday, rapper #YoungDro was performing
at the States boro Summer Jam at Georgia Southern University, when all of a sudden, he and three other individuals were escorted off stage and arrested after police searched a vehicle in which they found a gun and marijuana.

The four men were charged with carrying a weapon in a school safety zone, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon or first offender, possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce and possession of a Schedule V controlled substance.

What made the situation unfortunate is that Dro wasn’t even carrying the firearm, it was simply a case of being around the wrong crowd.

His management tells us that one of the individuals he was with was the one in possession of the gun and weed but refused to take responsibility for them when confronted by police. This led to everyone getting locked up for it.

Earlier this afternoon, Dro was denied bail for the case, however his associate has finally owned up to their belongings, so the rapper is on his way home now.

If you recall,  Migos were searched on the same campus last year and ended up catching charges for drug possession, possession of firearms in a school safety zone, and possession of firearms during the commission of a crime as well.

It’s said that the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Department is notorious for performing random searches, so be careful and smart if any of you are ever headed out that way!
