KIng Sunny Ade becomes first Nigerian musician to join Hard Rock’s iconic memorabilia collection
On Wednesday, November 30, 2016, the Juju maestro donated a vintage Fender Guitar and other personal items including an album cover and a pair of shoes at Hard Rock Cafe Lagos.
“I’m thrilled to be the first Nigerian musician to donate personal items to Hard Rock’s world-famous collection and to be showcased alongside other legendary artists,” said King Sunny Ade. “For me, this is more than just a ceremony; it’s anopportunity to pass on a cultural legacy and inspire new generations of musicians around the globe.”King Sunny Ade’s donated personal items will join more than 81,000 pieces of music memorabilia that Hard Rock has acquired over its 45-year history. Other iconic pieces include Madonna’s wedding dress from “Like a Virgin,” John Lennon’s wireframe tinted glasses, Jim Morrison’s famous brown leather pants, and many more.
“It’s a great honor to be able to pay homage to the rich and historic musical roots in Lagos with a memorabilia donation from King Sunny Ade,” said Sanjay Mathani, CEO of Hard Rock Cafe Lagos. “Hard Rock embraces all genres of music,and we are proud to support such a talented and influential artist.”
The first-of-its-kind donation was brokered by leading talent agency and event management company, Temple Management Company, who are also putting together the highly-publicized grand concert for King Sunny Ade tagged “Sunny On Sunday” scheduled for Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Federal palace Hotel in Lagos.
The concert tagged Sunny On Sunday will hold at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos and will feature Awilo Logomba, Onyeka Onwenu, Sir Shina Peters, Darey, Omawumi, Terry Apala, Jeff and Tyson Noir.

Kanye West had a nervous breakdown – he was pushed over the edge by anniversary of mom’s funeral
Kanye West just snapped a week ago Monday in what we’re told was a “nervous breakdown” … triggered in large part by the anniversary of his mother’s death.
Sources very close to Kanye tell TMZ … he was increasingly becoming a powder keg of emotions in the weeks leading up to his hospitalization at the UCLA Medical Center …Fueled by what we’re told was a shocking lack of sleep and the pressures of touring, running his businesses, parenting and providing emotional support to his wife who was suffering her own emotional trauma after the Paris robbery.
But our sources say the trigger for the breakdown was Donda’s death back in November 2007. Her funeral was November 20 — the same day he cancelled his show at the L.A. Forum. The following day — November 21 — Kanye cancelled the remainder of the tour and hours later suffered the breakdown.
People close to Kanye tell us he never effectively grieved over his mom’s death and has always had a difficult time in November, but this time he reached the breaking point.
Kanye, we’re told, has had trouble handling stress over the last few months, and in the week or so before the breakdown he started to unravel.
As we reported … Kanye became paranoid when he was taken to UCLA … refusing for a time to even let doctors touch him. He also ranted that people were trying to ruin his marriage.
Kanye was sedated and is being treated by doctors and mental health professionals. Doctors hoped to release him 2 days ago, but that didn’t happen and so far … no new release date.

In its own unique and divine way, the Experience has created a culture of putting aside political ties, religious differences, tribal diversities and class barriers in exchange for a few hours of uninterrupted praise and prayer. Nigerians and foreigners alike have come to understand the powerful importance of coming together to seek the face of God through the gateway of praise and worship.
