President Muhammadu Buhari, after weeks of foot-dragging, has terminated appointments of Babachir Lawal, suspended SGF, and Amb Ayo Oke, suspended DG of NIA.
Mr. Boss Mustapha has been appointed as the new SGF. His details below:
The new Secretary to Government of the Federation, Mustapha is a lawyer with extensive experience in both private and public sectors, in management positions.
Mr Mustapha, who hails from Adamawa State, was a Deputy National Chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), one of the legacy parties that formed the ruling APC.
He was also Chairman of APC 7-man committee that undertook the screening of 27 aspirants seeking to clinch the party’s gubernatorial ticket in the Kogi State last election.
Before now, Buhari had approved the appointment of Boss Gida Mustapha, as the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).
