Those of you who read the Bible may be familiar with the following verse (a favorite verse of my amazing wife I might add):
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. – Romans 8:28
Notice that it doesn’t say that in “some things” or a “few things” or “only through good things” God works. And it certainly doesn’t say, as many misquote, “all things happen for a reason,” as if God isn’t working and things are “just” happening. It says that “in all things God works for the good of those who love him…”.
I don’t want to over-spiritualize this topic, but I love him and I believe he has, is, and will continue to work these things in my life for my good and for his purposes.
I also believe that ultimately, it’s not what happens to us that defines us. It’s how we respond. It’s what we do with what we’ve been given, good or bad.
You’ve been challenged… now GO!
