Stoke city demolished by Manchester United at old Trafford 3-0

Stoke City crushed by Manchester United on Monday Night 15 January 2018

Sensational Paul Pogba was not on the score sheet but he provided excellent assist that resulted to the first two goals of the match.

Antonio Valencia and french man Anthony Martial got the two first goals respectively before Romelu Lukaku crowned it all with the last goal.  


Manchester United who seats comfortably on the second position in the English Premier League defeated visiting Stoke City 3-0 to enable them to maintain the pursuit of Manchester City who lost their first league game on Sunday 14th of January 2018 to Liverpool 4-3 in a fierce clash of the Titans.

Stoke City had the first opportunity to take the lead in the early minutes of the game when Peter Crouch was set up by his team mate Joe Allen but the ball was cleared to safety by Phil Jones of Manchester United.  
  The first goal of the match came in the 9th minutes with a lovely assist from the french play maker Paul Pogba with a superb delivery to Antonio Velencia who gave it a wonderful finishing with his left foot to put the Red devils ahead of Stoke City.

The 80 million pounds play maker in the person of Paul Pogba delivered the second assist which led to the second goal by his country man Anthony Martial with a beautiful finish with his right foot.

The first half finished in the favour of Manchester United with 2 goals up and Stoke City with no goal.

 The youngster Anthony Martial gave a lovely pass in the 72nd minutes to the Belgian Striker who finished the move brilliantly by scoring the 3rd goal to end his goal drought in the premier league after he has been unable to score goals in quite a number of premier league matches now.

Manchester United won the match by 3-0 and they are now sitting comfortably on the 2nd position on the table and their confidence is back since Man City lost to Liverpool yesterday.
    A fall on the penalty box by Juan Mata but the  referee ignored it.
