17 NYSC Members Get Automatic Employment From Obiano

Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano has announced automatic employment for 17 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to the state for their one year national service.

The corps members, comprising ten 2015 Batch ‘B’ and seven 2016 Batch ‘A’ set, were also rewarded with cash donations and laptops for distinguishing themselves during their service year.

The corps member who came first in his Community Development Service projects, got the cash sum of N200,000, plus a laptop, while the second and third positions, also got laptops as well as cash sums of N150,000 and N100,000 respectively.

Addressing the entire NYSC members in the state at the Dora Akunyili Women Development Center, Awka, the governor said the awards were in recognition of the outstanding performances of the awardees in the course of their national assignment.

He recalled his service year in Benue state where he was rewarded with both an award and automatic employment for carring out a major project in his community, saying he decided to extend same to the corps members in appreciation of their hardwork and dedication.

He expressed confidence that the award would spur them into contributing more to the development of the state when fully integrated into the civil service.
