Government Of Enugu Gives Corps Members A Pay Rise From 30,000 & 20,000 For Doctors, Others..

Corps members serving in Enugu were full of joy today when they received a joyous news that the state government has increased the state allowance to 30,000 Naira & 20,000 respectively for Doctors serving in rural areas for their determination to serve their fathers' land and others.

Today Wednesday being 14th Feb.2018, Mr Anikwe the commissioner of information announced the increment to newsmen after the state Executive council meeting.
He confidently said that Doctors who are serving in the rural areas will henceforth receive a stipend of 30,000 as against the former 3,800 while Pharmacist Med. Lab Scientist will receive 20,000.

He also did not forget to relate to the newsmen that the welfare of other corps members who are not health personnels will be reviewed and look into in other to increase it  like that of their mates in the medical profession.

The commissioner also said that the main reason why the allowance was increased was because the state wants medical care to get to the rural dwellers.

This whole project of reaching the rural areas will cost the government a total sum of 31.2 million Naira only. This is to make sure that health care is available to door steps of those living in the rural areas.

The government is very much aware of the challenges facing medical personnel's who work in the rural area so the increment was incentives to support and motivate this young doctors who put their lives on the line as a result of serving their fatherland

Mr Anikwe said that the state government has invested so much on the rural facilities and would want the local inhabitants to feel the impact of a good governance

Before now there was an influx of corps members all over the country because the state government was paying corps members very well so that led to youth coming in mass to the state then it became obvious that the state cannot cope any longer and it was stopped.

Mr Anikwe promised that as the state funds rises so shall the state make sure that every corps member is taken care of given what will sustain them according to the reality of the current state of the country.

He promised that all other corps members will follow suit,that the government was looking at a critical sector of the state.

Mr Greg Nnaji also announced that the state government has approved the renovation of eight hospitals across the state.

He said very soon the whole hospitals will wear a new look and modern facilities will be installed with this efforts the local residents will no longer have to travel from their local to the capital in search of quality medical care.
